The Post-Modern Masks of Nyarlathotep
Omar Shakhti is a prosperous cotton merchant who lives outside Cairo. He is well-connected with the upper reaches of Egyptian society and is known to be friends with the royal family. Publicly non-political, he has gotten along well with the British, Ottoman, and Egyptian regimes.
Shakhti is also the head of the Cult of the Black Pharaoh, and claims to be a 4500-year old sorcerer.
Shakhti seems to have died after being beheaded in the lost city of Irem, although indications are that this is only a temporary setback for him.
